A group from us from my company went for Onam Sadya feast last Friday (9/9). Initially it was to have been only a few of us, but got expanded to a larger group. After considering a few places, Ente Keralam at MRC nagar was choosen. Expectations were high since Ente Keralam was supposed to be amongst the top Kerala restaurants in the city. I was looking forward to it since I had always liked kerala cuisine. So I had the Onam Sadya meal and here is my review.
Overall comments: Nothing special. It seemed to be a regular kerala meal and nothing special to justify the hype over Onam Sadya. Also it was disappointing that they served the payasam in paper cups instead of traditional way. The meal was good in itself without the hype. I like the sambar, avial, chutney and payasams. Only that at 475 + tax, it was not worth the money. Add to it, the service was very poor. They were more keen to maximise their business that day and more keen to get us off the table.
My Ratings
Food Quality: 3/5
Ambience: 3/5
Service: 2/5
Value For Money: 2/5
